Meals

Our Snacks and Lunches are very healthy and meet the nutrition guidelines set by the Kansas State Department of Health and Environment. Young minds and bodies need appropriate nutritional and healthy foods and drink that give them the energy they need to learn, grow, and meet their full potential.

The quality of food is exceptional, as students are provided with appropriate quantitative proportions from each of the food groups to ensure that they have helathy balanced meals and snacks. We provide a morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Snacks are provided by the school, and school lunches are catered in by a licensed caterer. This is included in the cost of tuition. (If students in first through fifth grade choose to bring their own sack lunch there is a $10 weekly tuition reduction.)

Lunch
Our catered lunches are prepared by a licensed caterer. The meals are balanced nutritional meals that provide the children with the experience to sample different types of food. Children are given a ‘yes please’ or a ‘no thank you’ helping of each item, so that they have the opportunity to try everything. Menus are always posted in the school lobby, and emailed home monthly.

Washing Hands

Manners
Manners are always essential, even during meal time, and handwashing is a must! Children are encouraged to chew with their mouths closed, use their eating utensils and napkins, drink out of cups, keep their elbows off of the table, and to clean up after themselves. Mealtime is a fun socialization time, however the learning does not stop!
